We can think of trees as being the lungs of our planet. Trees create the air we breathe and filter air pollution. Planting more trees is one of the best things we can do for our local environment, and for our planet. This can occur when we get heavy rains in our area that can cause damage to structures and piping. By planting trees and plants, you can help to negate the effects of soil erosion. Trees with hearty, deep roots are going to provide the most benefit as they tend to stabilize the soil and can help pull water out of an over-saturated area.
