5 Cocktail Recipes Using Homegrown Citrus

Let’s face it. There are things in this world that we all disagree about. However, without question, we can all agree that food and drinks taste a million times better when fresh. Ok, maybe not a million times better, but nothing beats fresh bread, fresh fish, and even fresh cocktails. Mixing up cocktails with fresh fruit is a major benefit to owning a citrus tree. Whenever you need a lemon, lime, grapefruit, or orange the fruit is literally on your yard waiting to be picked. Below are five delicious cocktails that taste amazing with fruit from your citrus trees.


Spiced Citrus Bourbon
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsps iced tea (instant, like Lipton, powdered)
  • 12 ozs orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 12 ozs lemonade (freshly squeezed)
  • 7 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup bourbon whiskey

Clementine Cocktail
  • 2 ozs vodka
  • 2 ozs clementine juice (freshly squeezed.
    DO NOT throw away the peels)
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • Clementine sections (for garnish)

Pink Greyhound
  • 5 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Ice
  • 2 ozs vodka
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (rosemary)

  • 11/2 ozs vodka (or citrus vodka)
  • 8 ozs lemonade (freshly squeezed)

  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1/3 cup mango (diced and frozen)
  • 1/2 lime (juiced freshly squeezed)
  • 1/2 tsp light lemonade
