Without question, the holiday season is the most special time of year. Presents, parties, food, and spending time with loved ones are what make this time of year so memorable. Unfortunately, the holiday season lasts for only a few weeks….or does it?

## Start a New Holiday Tradition
One staple of the holiday season is the family tradition of picking out a freshly cut Christmas Tree. Like the holidays, a Christmas Tree will eventually need to be removed to make way for the spring season.
However, we’re here to tell you that you can keep that holiday season feeling all year long with a living Christmas Tree in your landscape!
**[The Eldarica Pine is also known as a ‘Living Christmas Tree’ and thrives in our arid desert climate](https://www.moonvalleynurseries.com/trees/fast-growers/eldarica-pine)**.
Native to the Caucasus Mountains of southern Russia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, the Eldarica Pine is a very hardy evergreen pine that grows faster than other pine tree varieties, requires lower amounts of water, and provides large amounts of shade.
The Eldarica Pine is recognizable for its classic Christmas Tree cone-shape appearance and can be seen throughout Phoenix on golf courses, school grounds, and in front or back yards. Eldarica Pines fit into most landscape designs, especially as a windbreak or privacy screen.
The Eldarica Pine tolerates heat and dry conditions very well. Its branches are strong and produce a pleasant fragrance and sound incredible on breezy days.
However, for the many benefits that the Eldarica Pine provides, its best-known feature is that it keeps its Christmas tree shape throughout its life.
Many people will purchase Eldarica Pines as living Christmas Trees, and then plant them in their landscape after the season is over keeping the holiday spirit going throughout the year.
**Enjoy a new tradition this year with the addition of a Living Christmas Tree to your home and landscape.**
