"Hi this is Richard Abate with Moon Valley Nurseries and today were going to talk a little bit about the Crape Myrtle. Now the one we’re looking at here this is the variety Muskogee and it has that beautiful lavender pink flower. It’s one of the first varieties to bloom. Crape Myrtle is a perfect plant for us because it'll handle the drought, it loves when we get too much rain, it loves full sun, it will even grow in some shade. In the full sun you’ll get a lot more blooms. And what’s great about this plant is it repeats blooms throughout the summer, so you’ll get continual color. Perfect for along the borders of your house. It could be perfect little lawn specimen for you as well and they do get just big enough that they’ll provide some shade for your patios. So, it’s perfect for around the patio too."
